Daring Fireball: That’s No Lemonade. That’s a Space Station.
And yet another counterpoint to the splitting of Googlerola. John Gruber is not buying any positive spin on the sale of Motorola and he raises what pundits said about Google buying Nest as evidence of Google’s consumer device aspirations. We have to agree. It can’t be good news that Google is selling Motorola because it’s exiting consumer devices AND be good news that they bought Nest to do the opposite. Either is actually entirely possible, but there’s no way that Motorola can be deemed anything but a failure.
